LED Floor & Table Lamps

LED floor & table lamps are great at offering a high quality, low-glare light source, while cutting down on electricity usage. They are highly effcient compared to lamps that use other lighting methods, such as incandescent light bulbs. LED floor & table lamps also have a very long lamp life, meaning less maintenance is required.

FAQ's

Focus on height and glare control.

Height: The top of your bedside table + the height of your lamp should total 100cm to 105cm. This automatically keeps the light source right at your chin or eye level when sitting up in bed.

  • Standard Bedside Table (60cm): Pair with a 40cm–45cm lamp.

  • Tall Bedside Table (70cm): Pair with a 30cm–35cm lamp.

  • Low Bedside Table (50cm): Pair with a 50cm–55cm lamp.

Control Glare: Choose a lamp with an adjustable head, fabric shade, frosted glass, or diffuser, and a dimmable light source. This gives you versatility, providing direct light for reading, soft ambient light for relaxing, and a gentle glow if left on overnight.

Position table lamps on side tables next to sofas, on console tables in entryways, or on deep bookshelves. Placing them in the darker corners of a living room helps eliminate harsh shadows, layering the illumination and creating a warm, balanced, and inviting ambient atmosphere.

Yes, but look for task-specific designs. While decorative lamps provide soft ambient light, a dedicated desk lamp with an adjustable arm or head lets you direct focused light exactly where you need it, reducing eye strain during reading, writing, or computer work.

A floor lamp is a tall, freestanding light fixture used to add vertical interest, fill empty corners, or provide localised light where table space is limited. They are highly versatile tools for layering ambient light or creating cosy reading nooks next to armchairs.

An uplight floor lamp (often called a torchiere) features a shade that directs light upward toward the ceiling. This bounces soft, indirect illumination across the entire room, making it an excellent way to boost ambient light levels in spaces with low ceilings or limited natural light.

When placed next to a sofa or lounge chair, the floor lamp should stand between 1.5m and 1.7m tall. Ideally, the bottom of the lamp shade should align with eye level when you are seated, ensuring the bulb stays hidden from view while providing comfortable illumination.
